Do you need base training after type in SA?

Good day everyone, I am SACAA pilot operating in the DRC with the opportunity to fly a320. The company is letting choose where we do the TR, but they are mentioning not been able to provide base training if necessary. I am wondering since base training and ZFT is nowhere mentioned in our air law if this concept only applies to EASA licences or also to SACAA licences because in the end you get the type anyways without doing any touch n go's.
