667 Sqn AAC will be returning to Brunei.

The Army placed a contract with Airbus Helicopters in April 24 to purchase 6 x H145 to replace the previous 212 and 412 fleets in Brunei and Cyprus, these tasks are currently covered by Puma in both locations.

The first 3 H145 are under construction in Germany before delivery to Airbus Helicopters UK for customisation and delivery to the Army. These aircraft are ear-marked for deployment to Brunei mid-2025 to facilitate delivery of the British Forces Brunei (BFB) capability requirements by an AAC Squadron.

Following selection Boards last month, the first aircrew have been selected and will commence training towards the end of this year, initially at RAF Shawbury.

Isn't this 'old' news? I'm sure there's a thread already running on this forum.

The 145 buy is old news, but not the Corps getting them, it was widely assumed the RAF to be getting them for the job.
