This booklet used to be issued by Thomson Airways to people taking the Flying with Confidence course at East Midlands, aiming to alleviate the fear of flying experienced by some passengers. It may still be helpful to those who suffer from this problem.

I see BA still do a "Fear of Flying" course at Heathrow on Saturdays every two or three months, culminating with a 30 minute A320 flight.

I always soothe the nerves of passengers around me by having films like Raid on Entebbe, Airplane!, and Snakes on a Plane on my laptop. I'm a bit hard of hearing so I turn up the volume extra loud when the passengers on the film are screaming things like 'we're all going to die!' and the like.

The BA 'flying with confidence' course featured in an episode of 'Heathrow - Britain's Busiest Airport'. I regret I don't remember in which episode, and I can't find a website which lists the content of the episodes. They're all available as youtubes,
