Hello all,

Almost every time I find myself flying through San Juan airspace at night I’ve been seeing bright lights northeast of Puerto Rico, around 25 degrees north. I see them around 2 or 3 AM.

Usually a bright light visible for about 20-30 seconds with one or two dimmer lights appearing to chase it. Process is repeated every few minutes. To me it looks like a flare and other planes chasing it. If I had to guess I’d say they were up in the high 30s altitude.

I’m assuming it’s military training. Can anyone here tell me what they’re doing?

Possibly Starlink satellites? https://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/649920-light-show-between-40-30-west.html

Been following the discussion on the thread in ‘Rumours’.
Fairly convinced now that what I’ve been seeing are the Starlink satellites.
