Hi Guys,

Does someone have some information about this company? I am due to attend assessment for ATR captain with them but so far no email with any information.

Someone told me they have many pilots leaving the company because poor treatment from the management, is it true? I also heard things like very poor pay and financial difficulties/potential bankrupt .. i will appreciate some feedback

I didn't bother in the end, in my very brief dealings with HR I found them to be amateurish and unprofessional. I also managed to get in touch with some current guys there and they all advised to steer well clear.

Can anyone advise some firsthand information please?

I'm interested to know:
1) Rough take-home net salary for captain on highest scale (7000+ PIC hrs), would it be 6k+ Net?
2) Type rating options, bond, up-front etc
3) Roster, how many sectors per day, hrs per month
4) Is there any seniority scale? Would be great if this tied in with the AerLingus seniority list.

Thanks guys,
OB

Can't answer all your questions but under the Irish tax system you would need to clear €10k/m to net €6k. We're still paying an extra tax introduced after the financial crash of 2008/9. Housing is very expensive in Ireland.

No seniority in EI, you would start at the bottom.

Thanks for the info.

Just the salary again, sorry about this.

The scale I have shows basic top scale captain at 85000e. That ought to work out about 4600 Net per month. The sector pay is what 23e. That's tax free right? If they are all short sectors, say doing 70 hrs per month and each sector is 1 hr, that's 1600 net. Then there is the day off payments, 200-500. Surely you would be clearing 6k per month?

Cheers

No dog in the fight but why would sector pay be tax free in Ireland? It certainly isnt in the UK.

It's a historical agreement with Revenue as far as I'm aware. It's not that it's tax free, but rather the tax is paid by the company not the employee.
