Hello dear colleagues,
Did anyone hear about this company based at London Heathrow? CAE Parc is advertising for CPT & FO A320 positions with SAS Connect.
Any feedback is very much appreciated.

For this UK based permanent job - you would need an EASA ATPL, EASA Medical and EASA A320 rating.

I'm sorry but that interpretation is a little silly
It's no different to requiring a type rating/ certain amount of experience etc.
it's not the norm, but there have always been flying jobs based in the UK that required a foreign licence.
Such as N reg business jets etc.

I think the airframes are Irish registered so you need an EASA licence to fly them, after leaving that organisation any UK licence holder no longer has one so unsurprisingly SAS are not interested in hiring them.
The question really is whether a Scandinavian company, working through an Irish subsidiary using Irish registered aircraft , should be allowed to operate flights originating in the UK, my opinion is that they should not.
The UK government is asleep at the wheel, us usual.

The government caused this injustice, is aware but just doesn't care. Deciding to leave EASA as a last minute U-turn in Apr 2001 for pure ideological reasons caused this mess and they just don't give a fig about the plight of UK workers.

Those companies operating N registered jets should also not be welcome in the UK. Can't really see how the practice should be defended in any shape or form.
Ex transport secretary Grant Shapps owning a N reg aircraft himself probably gives some insight as to why it is allowed.

Whilst I’m inclined to agree, and also would far rather Brexit be a bad dream, we may consider that the job market for UK licence holders and those with the right to live and work in the UK is also becoming competitive between the likes of BA/TUI/Jet2/Virgin. Granted, not much solace if one is currently looking for work and hasn’t had any luck with those mentioned above.

Block Hour Payment – GBP£30.00
Overnight Allowance – GBP£52.53
Airport/Hotel Standby Allowance (paid for duty) - GBP£139.24
Productivity Pay (Working day off pay Allowance): GBP£577.91*
Trade Day.
Loss of Licence Insurance Allowance
New Pension Scheme.
Work Pattern and Annual Leave:
Roster pattern Winter Season 5 days on, 4 days off.
Roster Pattern Summer Season 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on,
3 days off
Paid leave days 28 days per annum.
Staff Travel on SAS Network available after 6-month probation.
