Hi Guys,

A question for anyone familiar with batteries for the Vampire T.11. I am currently working with a small team restoring the cockpit/nose section of a Vampire T11. One of the things we are trying to pin down is the markings applied the aircraft batteries in the nose bay. An image we have of the batteries in place shows they had a unit marking on them. As far as we can tell as some of it is obscured it reads:

OAK ? I/R/?787/?017C (The ? are obscured letters/numbers) with another line below with ??.? (three letters and a full stop between).

Hopefully someone can help fill in the gaps. This Vampire was with 5 FTS based at Oakington, hence, we think the OAK at the start of the white painted ident number. Maybe someone who has experience in a station battery bay may know.

Any ideas
