Anyone have any experience of working as a controller in Baghdad tower? I appreciate that it’s probably not everyone’s idea of a preferred career move but after 15 years in more conventional units I’d be interested in working somewhere a bit different and Baghdad certainly appears different! It looks like Serco still have the contract there although news reports suggest that not everyone is too happy about that. Any view on if this is likely to change in the near future? Any ideas on what traffic levels are like and the sort of experience and background Serco look for in applicants? Feel free to PM me if anyone would prefer not to share info on the forum. Thanks.

I am actually quite curious about Baghdad as well. Obviously pay, shifts, overtime, leave, culture, management etc. as well as living conditions (having watched the Baghdad Hilton, wondering if life there is still as depicted in the videos or different now). I understand it can be a sensitive topic so feel free to drop me a PM if you're happy to share some info. Thank you.
