Hi everybody,

Could anyone tell me what kind of benefits CX can give to the expats pilots (housing allowance, school allowance for children....??)

Extremely generous housing, education, superannuation and medical allowances. Sure they are not as relatively good as they were a decade ago but they are nearly ten times better than I have received elsewhere and best of all the allowances are not taxable. Naturally all these allowances are based on current market conditions and go up and down a bit but they are pretty good none the less. Yes I am a happy employee with a three month quit clause in my contract - for me as well as them.

"housing allowance", and "not taxable" should not be used in the same sentence.

shortly, forgive me for probing, but are you new?

No but I am still waiting for the dust to settle on the taxation implications for the housing allowance. Have received contrary advice even from the taxation department.

Frankie baby, try somewhere else in Hong Kong and tell me the allowances at CX are not generous. You guys are really sad.
