Someone sent me an mpg file that Windows Media Player and Real Player don't recognise. Says something about it being an "MCO" media type.

Anyone heard of this? What can I use to play it?

Cheers

I'm sure you've seen this from the Windows Media Player Help File Glossary:

media formats
The types of media files that can be played using Windows Media Player. Supported media formats include the following: .aif, .aifc, .aiff, .asf, .asx, au, .avi, .cda, .ivf, .m1v, .m3u, .mid, .midi, mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .rmi, .snd, .wax, .wav, .wma, .wms, wmv, .wvx, .wmz. See also Windows Media Format.

So no luck there. Nothing found yet on a Google search either but it's interesting nevertheless! Motor City On-Line; Multi Channel Option; Marine Corps Organisation...

You don't think that it may have been formatted for the Apple Mac?
