Hey,
Im 22 years old and Im planning on moving to the Czech republic to get my commercial pilots license.
I've learned that I need a class 1 medical certificate for that as well.
When i was 13 I had burkitt lymphoma in my stomach. The treatment was 3 months and I was perfectly fine ever since.
My question is, how does this affect, if at all, my ability to get the certificate.

Thanks in advance,
Carmel

Firstly having had Cancer, especially with a good period in remission should not prevent you getting a Class 1 medical but the chances still seem variable on where you intend to do the test. We have had posters on this forum relating varied results in the attitude taken by various EASA authorities so your first task is to research the Czech position on the matter. Their web site is here, but doesn't give much away on the medical front.

Czech Republic AA (http://www.caa.cz/index.php?lang=2)

For reference you can view the UK CAA position on most medical conditions here which will give you some guidance on your own condition.
