After a minor fall yesterday (me ! only bruised knees, thanks for the sympathy) ) in which my HTC made contact with the ground, I was having trouble opening the initial screen and entering my PIN. The effect was as if the screen touchpad had become insensitive. Note that once I had the phone 'open' the touchscreen worked perfectly.

I opened the phone tonight, took out the battery, waited, refitted battery, fired it up and it once again worked perfectly. So for anyone who has a phone they can open and is having troubles, try this reset method.

OFSO - Here's some important tips to prevent falls at your age:

1. Put more water with the whiskey.
2. Don't text, walk, and try to drink, all at the same time.

I was sober ! Walking along a main road, looking for a piece of trim which had flown off the wife's Ford. (Without her intervention as happens to wimmin' drivers). Didn't find it, bought new piece this morning. "We sell a lot of those door mouldings" said Mr Ford spares department, with a smile.

Back to theme: phone still working perfectly this morning.
