What is the most widely used make and model of FMS in the B744? What is the most common navigation system in the B747 Classic?

Thanks.

You know the PPRuNe Forum Rules (http://www.pprune.org/faq.php?faq=pprune_rules#faq_pprune_rules_rules)?

But maybe you find a answer here (http://www.pprune.org/engineers-technicians/421795-fms-b747.html).

The Litton LTN-92 is common in the Classic; don't know if it is the "most" common...

Unless a pilot has flown for multiple 744 operators, how would they know?

Perhaps a Boeing engineer can answer?

All we can tell you is what FMS is fitted to the 744 that we individually fly: In my case Smiths (I think). I don't remember seeing a 'maker's name' on it anywhere, but it has a monochrome green display on the CDU. Only has 64K memory apparently!
