Does anyone know the current status of Mode S in France and the Netherlands. ie for a GA flight to Ostend / L2k etc.....

status as in Mode S Airspace and transponder carriage requirements or ground infrastructure in place?

There is a good Mode S summary page here (http://www.eurocontrol.int/msa/public/standard_page/implementation_els_ehs.html)supplied by Eurocontrol on a country by country basis. Hope this helps.

Cheers for the assistance in identifying the docs required to understand the requirement for mode S in the "Eurocontrol Area".
Having read them once now, I have a basic understanding but probably need to read them again !
