Guys,

I've seen the charts for the FMS/RNAV transition approaches for Frankfurt.

I have a number of questions:

1) What's the point in these FMS/RNAV transitions to final approach? What is the advantage?
2) Are all FMS equipped aircraft certified to do it? Is certification airline-specific?
3) Do you still use the ILS? Or do you just follow the FMS down the approach?
4) How common are these approaches at Frankfurt? Are vectors for the ILS more common than these FMS approaches?
5) How do ATC tell you to expect an FMS approach? For the ILS they usually say "expect vectors for ILS 25R". What's the ATC terminology for an FMS approach?

God bless ya folks
