TV in Dubai

Coming to Dubai soon, have been told that local satellite pretty poor.

I believe that the Hotbird satellite can be picked up in Dubai but someone sugested that using Sky box as a freview receiver might be possible, anybody know the odds on this?

Anybody prepared to give any info on any other ways to get other TV channels?
