Miami type rating accommondation help

I am doing a type rating in Nov 20th at Alteon miami can some one please advise good place to stay near by and those to avoid, che:)ers

any Aus been to Miami and done a type rating , if so could u advise me best place to stay , doing it with Alteon Thanks guys.

What is your budget for hotels and how close do you want to be to the training center? Also how many weeks are you planing to stay?

I would suggest the Sherry Frontenac hotel but you'll need a rental car and its about a 25 min drive. Fairly descent hotel and cheap beer.

The Homestead is an extended stay hotel with kitchenette. The majority of the people that stay there are in training either at PanAm or AeroServices.

There are several hotels around the training center(s). Just do a search on orbitz.com or something but I would suggest staying away from the Comfort Inn. Its kinda nasty and the staff is very rude. I really hate it when I have to stay there.
