Hi,
A friend has just come back from an interview for a first officer position on a Challenger CRJ, and they gave him a weight and balance on the aircraft, but could not do it as he could not work out the MAC. What is the MAC? I am a CPL/IR with 450 hours and never come across this, any one can help? And am next for the interview with this airline on the CRJ.

MAC, if I'm not mistaken is Mean Aerodynamic Chord, usually expressed as a percentage behind a datum such as the leading edge. Used as an alternative to C of G arm as expressed in light aircraft, you will find the centre of gravity falls in a defined range of the MAC.
