Obviously you are a newbie to the whole thing !!

CPL+IR possibly will get you a job in India providing you have working rights there, like a Indian citizenship !!

ATPL is the next step just like from ppl to cpl, more subjects hours attitude etc

First Officer = Co-Pilot

Generally you'll be employed to the position on your experience basis.... If you're a fresher you'll be employed as a trainee pilot and take it from there on

Starting Remuneration.... training period pay is not worth mentioning at all,,,, rest of the payscale has been bashed here several times... do a search !! on a ball park... FO's around Aus 70k.... Cap's around 100k... it varies big time on type and airlines !!

Now, goodluck in finding that flying school of your's :E

Smoothie :ok:

Hi,

Thank you for that reply.

I am an Indian citizen and i am currently 18 and i will finish my training by 19(as i said first).. From there is it better to work in india or go and do my ATPL.
How can i shape my carrer to a pilot with emirates or SA..or with bigger airlines..i mean what do they look.....

Thanks

I did not get what you mean....sorry..

Does having an abroad ATPL(like australian) makes me in any advantageous position than having a cpl. Is it easy to convert my license with ATPL

kanak/aussiemav...

seems like you are surely new to the whole deal chap. we got some things to clear up. with a CPL+MECIR and depending on how many hours/experience you have, i understand there aren't much issues getting a job in india these days.

they have jet airways/kingfisher/etc etc out there... i dont even know half the names.

anyway it's time you start talking to people about this and remember if i'm not wrong (somebody correct me if i am) the ATPL can be done anywhere as long is it's ICAO... you won't need to convert it if you say did your ATPL subjects in Oz, but obviously you won't get your ATPL until you have the required 1500 hrs.

it's important to look into this, and remember, before you fly the big boys, try getting some fun turbine / turbo-prop time on your log book. i am sure it'll help you in the long run...even though i see how straight forward it is to get into flying jobs in india these days.

anyway, best for your career chap. cheers.
