I hold a Class 2 Medical. My lung (left) has collapsed a couple of times and I have recently had surgery to repair my lung (removal of the lining of the lung). I'm told that my lung isn't going anywhere now and my question is....has anyone out there had this surgery and then gone on to fly as a career?

I'm in the process of weighing it all up and so far my right lung has behaved....do I splash out on pilot training?? Please advise!:D

i think the best way to answer this is to just bit the bullet and go for the Class One medical...

Don't pay for any professional training until u go and get the class one...it costs £340 (i think)...At least it will put ur mind to rest...

hope it all works out for you, best of luck:ok:
