Only one base--anywhere...Whiteman AFB, MO. About 35 miles east of Kansas City, a godforsaken place that used to warn of praire chickens on the runway. The planes are all hangared, serviced and maintained in enclosed hangars that have have that aircraft's "patch" on the building. Good Luck getting a view of one unless you just happen to see a departure or arrival.

The only frontline base for the B-2 is Whiteman AFB, Missourri. One aircraft may also be based at Edwards AFB for test duties.

About 4 years ago, I was in the circuit at Whiteman AFB with a few B2 Stealths.

Air trajic calls up and asks if we're visual with the B2 on base leg. These are very "thin" aircraft and we couldn't pick it out.

We continued.

Air trajic calls again, call visual with the B2, now on short finals!

I called back, negative visual but, it's ok we've got him on radar:}

Our circuit work was cut short and we were politely (not) asked to rtb:ouch:

True story, thought you might like it.
