Has Loganair E-145 G-SAJS (Clobbered by Flybe Q400 in 2020) been in the wars again? It arrived a couple of nights ago and there are rumours of a mishap with a bus!
Thanks
Thanks
4 new routes for GLA announced by easyJet, FUE/ACE/RAK will be winter only, with PRG operating year round.
FUE will see competition from Jet2.
ACE will see competition from Jet2 and TUI
RAK will see competition from Jet2 who operate the same days as easyJet
PRG will see competition from Jet2 between October and May, who also operate the same days as easyJet.
It does appear that as the schedules stand just now, the EJU service to Lisbon will be cancelled after October, as no flights or holidays are available.
Based aircraft at GLA in winter will increase from 4 to 5, and currently remain at 6 for S25.
Given all 6 are fully used in summer, a route might swap to EJU, possibly Berlin given the similar sector length, or a 7th aircraft could be introduced.

This is what gives me the fear about holiday flights in the UK. An utter disgrace, yet the police say no crime committed - anyone got any more of the story?
A group of 26 men were kicked off an Easyjet flight at Glasgow airport over disruptive behaviour.

This is what should happen at all British airports. It's a kind of pre-emptive strike to prevent having to divert somewhere enroute and causing crew to go out of hours, and 24hr delays on the return (which I have experienced with EZY for this reason). Cabin crew are seeing it now on a regular basis and recognise the need to act early !

Sadly, I think the only way these selfish individuals will ever learn is with issuing fines and temporary bans with folk being being completely blacklisted if they are repeat offenders. These selfish and entitled individuals need to learn that flying (for most people) is a privilege and not a right and that their behaviour has consequences.

This would be an interesting development if it came to anything. I could personally see GLA a good fit to the MAG group.
I don't think it would be beyond the realms of possibility for a MAG owned GLA to serve say 11-12mppa within the first few years. Getting a Ryanair base back and further Easy/Jet2/TUI growth would definitely be targets for them. ABZ and SOU could still be nice little earners and could help diversify the MAG portfolio a little.
All these airports have spare capacity to grow and whilst I'm not solely blaming AGS for that as the market conditions are the key factor, I do think MAG would see all these with strong growth potential.
Similarly to when STN was added to the group, it had capacity and it's growth considerably contributed towards MAN transformation. Now STN's in the position MAN was 10 years ago I could see a growth trajectory with the AGS airports replicating what STN achieved, and similarly contributing towards future STN transformation investment, albeit on a smaller scale.

EDI has a had a free run for years , MAG will know that GLA has great potential as it represents Scotland's largest city. AGS should hang their heads in shame for the way they have allowed the Glasgow product to deteriorate , and Mr Dewar at Edinburgh may well get a wee bit twitchy at the prospect of a MAG owned GLA ! Really hope this comes to fruition !
Then if they can sort these things it can address the balance somewhat.
