Ryanir and Central/Eastern Europe
My colleague has asked me to post the following in case anyone has any info on Ryanair's strategy for Central/Eastern Europe (i.e. those countries which are next in line to become EU member states). Thanks in advance for any info on this.......
There was an article published about Ryanair and their ambitions to fly more to Eastern Europe once these countries are in the EU. An example is Pardubice airport in the Czech Republic that Ryanair had been in talks with and said that because they are an Irish registered company they have bilateral difficulties flying there at present, but following EU accession would be very interested in doing so (think it was in prague Post or BBC website). What are Ryanair's ambitions for Eastern Europe as a whole both currently and following EU accession?

No action will be taken until these countries have joined the EU. However, they will be a big market and fit into Ryanair's marketing strategy perfectly. People that are dying to get out and that haven't got much money to spend are the ideal target market so moving into Eastern Europe should be hugely successful.
