Fire at Nebraska destroys two aircraft
From AP:
"Fire destroyed an airport hangar Tuesday and two commuter airplanes inside worth $8 million. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
The hangar on the north side of Central Nebraska Regional Airport was used by the Cheyenne, Wyo.-based Great Lakes Aviation, said Hall County Airport Authority office manager Heather Schmidt.
The two destroyed airplanes were Beech 1900D 19-seat twin-engine planes, part of the commuter airline's fleet of 40 such aircraft. Each was worth about $4 million, said Doug Voss, Great Lakes chief executive officer.
He said construction was being completed on a new hangar door when the fire started."
