Pilot training - Zimbabwe
Hi all,
Is there any stigma associated with pilot training in Zimbabwe or Zimbabwean pilots. My young brother Sam has just finished his ground school and will be on his Private License soon. We want to be very sure his qualifications will be recognised worldwide.
help!

Flight Training In Zimbabwe
I learnt to fly at the Mashonaland Flying Club at Charles Prince Airfield just outside Harare. I must admit that I had the same concerns. However the standard of instruction was very professional, thorough, and when I came home to the UK I had no problems converting my license to a UK one. I just had to sit an Air Law and Human Factors exam.
I would add that the Zimbabwean CAA equivilent also make you do a type examination as part of your PPL. Nothing but praise for the system.
Having not flown for a few years, I am about to pick up where I left of and get a helicopter license. If they had any helos in Zimbabwe I would go back tomorrow. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info.
