I expect Manx2 to look further afield and will probably have BOH and DCA on the map by next year. They must be coping OK during this downturn as they are still going. They either have deep pockets or the routes are profitable, I suspect the latter.
I predict BLK route will become a one carrier flight by the end of the summer (either BE or M2), Manx2 to fly the LPL route and also introduce BOH and DCA. I don't know about the further connections but what about Gloucester? Is that not shown it can be a reliable transit point and also Blue Islands fly those routes or some of them don't they?
Manx2 are in the right period for growth and I hope they take advantage of it.

"Rumour that the Logey S340 will be used for IOM DUB single daily from July which is why DND-BHD aircraft is being brought in for middle BHD rotation insted of using the based aircraft"
Have Flybe announced IOM -DUB. If it's starting in July, would they not need to load it on to the booking engine fairly soon. No mention of it on either Flybe's or Loganair's websites, as yet.

Don't think we will be seeing IOM DUB with BE anytime this year....
BOH would seem like a logical move for Manx2..
EI-BUD 'Manx 2 could have survived..' Manx2 doing fairly well from what I can see... Yes Loganair will have an impact but Manx2 will be around for sometinme yet.

Manx2 to Prestwick?
I've noticed that Manx2 have had flights to/from PIK on the Ronaldsway Departure/Arrival boards a coupel of times a week recently, including today.
Presumably some sort of private charter, maybe a little like the DHSS flights to Chester.
Does anyone know the reason behind the PIK flights?
Might they have ambitions to offer scheduled flights there, at some pont in the future?

Runway Extension
Hello all.
For anyone interested there are now some very good images of the progress being made on the runway extension.

Manx2 to PIK is a medium term private charter from IOM they have a couple of flights a week. Wouldn't be suprised if Manx2 were to start a scheduled service although they probably would have done it already

Interesting that you think LOGIC has anything to do with modern commercial airline operational planning ...

It's now confirmed the Loganair Saab to be based in IOM from May. Will be intresting to see how this one turns out... Would be much better put to use, in my opinion, on LCY and BHX. Have heard rumours of LCY with BE recently but can't see it coming to pass

Did Aer Arann buy those slots at LCY in the first place?
Anyway, given the constant reduction of flights to/from LCY over the past 12 months, I am not sure if indeed no slots are available for new entrants. That must have an impact on the slots Aer Arann holds.

The April traffic figures show they are carrying an average of 29 on each service. Is that enough to give them the yield they need, who knows? The ATR is a nice plane, but far too many seats for the available bums.
Historically, RE have not hung around in IOM when routes have not performed (LPL, PIK, LTN), so unless there is some sort of deal which means they are tied to the route until the year end, I'd guess it must be under continuous review already.

FlyBe to BLK and BHD winter 09/10
FlyBe website now includes Loganair schedules for W09.
Despite comments elsewhere - not on this thread - BLK and BHD stay with double daily, but a/c seems to come in from EDI at 7am (!!) and go back there in the evening, so no IOM night stop.
I guess it shows they plan to stick around, even though, on other threads, there have been suggestions they would disappear after the TT.

looks to me like Logie are dying the death of 1000 cuts on BLK and BHD.
Theyve cut from 3 daily to 3 daily some days and now just chopped back to 2 a day for July and august and 1 on weekends. BLK has already been chopped from 3x to 2 daily and 1 at weekend. looked like Manxie2 were carrying usual number of pax to this morning 16 IOM BLK. Is this normal Bet the BLK numbers this month are mega but LPL will be . Logie also chopping GLA back to 1x daily for the winter. Why dont they do proper 2x daily GLA or EDI instaed of duplicateing BLK and BHD shurely theyd make a load more money

Well...
Flybe
Today:
BLK-IOM 15:25-16:00 2 seats spare
Saturday:
BLK-IOM 11:15-11:50 Full
IOM-BLK 10:10-10:45 3 seats spare
Sunday:
BLK-IOM 15:25-16:00 1 seat spare
Monday:
BLK-IOM 11:15-11:50 4 seats spare
BLK-IOM 15:25-16:00 6 seats spare
The rest all have quite high prices for the rest of next week which I think will be to do with the IOM TT but bookings past June still look good.
Manx2
Too many flights to look at but just have a go on their website...they are VERY busy!
Overall
I believe more and more people are moving from LPL and MAN to BLK as it is much easier and arguably cheaper on certain dates to the island. Both airlines are prospering currently on the route and we all thought it would be a blood bath in which one airline would pull off and then so would the other leaving no-one on the route.
Manx2 have stuck at it and Flybe/Loganair are also doing well. Lets hope it continues and as for cutting back - I can only see it expanding!
Early days - but positive ones...

Why all the delays this evening? There were also some diverts...
Gatwick and London City flights holding while BLK is extremely delayed. A BE is stuck in Liverpool and a Manx2 aircraft in Belfast City
