Flights to Cape Verde
Anyone know of a good website (other than www.capeverdetravel.co.uk) where I can book flights to Cape Verde. TACV have a site but have no online booking facility.
Also, is Sal (SID) still the main International airport there over Praia (RAI)? The main runway is closed in Praia but I do hear the airport has been developed recently.
What's Cape Verde like for a holiday anyway? I hear it's going to be the IN-place in the next few years.

You should be able to book flights to SID through all major travel websites. TACV serves Germany, Italy, Portugal, France, the Netherlands. TAP Air Portugal and Air Luxor have scheduled flights from LIS.
Thomas Cook has IT flights from Germany. Biggest market for Cape Verde travel currently is, apart from Portugal, Italy, so most Italian carriers have IT charters to SID.
Praia should now be operational, but I have not followed which airlines have switched from SID to Praia. Anyway, if you are after beaches and surfing, SID would be the place to go. If you are more interested in local life, head for Praia.
