PJ up to his old tricks again then hey? Can anyone trust this guy. I know it was Planestation who took EUJET down but lets face it, if PJ had an ounce of business sense, none of his ventures would have failed. IMHO

44 EUjet Shannon jobs saved

from RTE.ie (irish national broadcaster)

August 04, 2005 15:17
The low cost airline EUjet has succeeded in having an examiner appointed with a plane to save 44 jobs at Shannon Airport.

The High Court heard today that the airline ceased trading last month when its English parent company Planestation announced it could not sustain continuing losses.

The court heard that around 100,000 credit card passengers would get refunds from a €6.2m restricted deposit fund with AIB.

The court also was told that to attract a buyer the company wanted to return to its core charter business and hold onto its airline operations certificate.

44 staff would continue to be employed at Shannon while 160 former employees at the now closed Kent Airport may get redundancy payments from the insolvency fund.

Interesting typing error... so I presume they're going to be airlifted out of there in some kind of RJ?

Same examiner appointed when Transaer went bust. Seems like a 'modus operandi' to me

planestation

reference comment by bacardi walla
planestation took eu jet down ?

if planestation had not been conned by pj into buying eu jet they would still be in existance and the airport would still be running with cargo as it always was.planestation raised approx 30 million from shareholders to fund eu jet.said it had enough to fund for 2 years.eu jet ate all this in a few months so although planestation owned eu jet its eu jet only that took the group down.why does anybody employ pj ?? his track record is appalling.should he ever be allowed to start any business up again.

how ignorant can you get?
yes we are all out of work, some havnt got paid, we all put a lot into trying to make this work and this person (pj) walks away with the loot. there must be an inquiry and he shouldnt ever be allowed to have any business dealings again, but i am sure daddy will give little johnny an airline to play with again.
what a crock!!!!!!!!!

Grrr

What was the name of the bloke at Debonair that walked away with the cash, whilst his airline died, Franko Marscaponi?

Buster. Not Marscapone but Franco Mancasola. He was a former VP of the old incarnation of World Airways and an associate of Ed Daly. I know of one executive there who went to a meeting at which both were present and they had difficulty in distinguishing between assets and liabilities. It kind of helps when you know what the two words mean.

I met Mancasola at a lunchtime reception in London about 10 years ago, when he was trying to form Debonair. That day he had considerable difficulty in achieving three key functions:
holding the glass
speaking coherently
focusing his eyes

My pitch to him about coherent route planning seemed useless.

The owner of Debonair made sure all the bills were paid then shut the airline down - they simply ran out of money to carry on.

He didn't walk away with any considerable money.
