Rumour has it, that the 3 legs on the otherside of the aircraft have been painted the wrong way round - maybe that is why they keep delaying it.
Love the Eire reg on it, As MANX as The Hills Yessar.

So come on then guys when is something going to happen ? Lots of talk and promises, pictures of RJ's in Manx colours, talks of Dash 8's when, when when.
The latest i heard was they are going to draft in one of Club 328's aircraft, and what's all this about about an Austrian AOC?
Hope its not all smoke and mirrors!

When is the IOM-MAN going to start? There is no mention of a MAN service on their web-site, so obviously no bookings are being taken. The rumoured 28th March start-up date doesn't look too good if you can't book on it.

Club328 AOC
Quote "The latest i heard was they are going to draft in one of Club 328's aircraft, and what's all this about about an Austrian AOC?"
Well Nowcharm Ltd t/a Club328 don't currently have a UK AOC or Class A License (Application published in OF2 1674 14/12/04). They are currently running on a Class B License as Nowcharm Ltd t/a Bookajet (All info freely available on CAA website). Class B licenses are for smaller aircraft and have limited financial requirements
So this means that they will have to go thru Financial Fitness before they can operate RJ / Dash 8 / Zepplins.....whatever. So what's the chance of that happening? Wasn't that one of the reason's Euromanx never actually got round to the dirty business of running their own aircraft, much better to be a "ticket provider" and walk away from airlines if they're in trouble??

GMIMA - Did I miss something? what is the significance of 4mths and two weeks i.e the end of Jun.
Good point about the Class A. Do Euromanx have one?
Please tell me this whole exercise isn't just an attempt to drum up investors.
Anyone know when the agreement with Denim expires?

Euromanx Class A
No Euromanx don't have a Class A, that's why the CAA made them change their website from "we operate" to "we are a ticket provider" for whichever airline they can con for the moment.
As was expressed elsewhere, what's the passengers standpoint on this "ticket provider" scam. They book with Euromanx as an agent for Rossair when when they get to the airport, its Denim Air or someother carrier? Who's terms & conditions are they flying under??
As for the Class A, financial fitness is always going to be the stumbling block for EuroManx/Club 328/Nowcharm or whoever.

Eurobitch - Any answers ?
Eurobitch, as you seem to be in the know, how will the RJ be able to operate on an Austrian AOC & registerd in eire?
And how has the Club 328 Dornier 328 jet been allowed to operate (not sure on whose AOC) using Denim air callsigns ??

No disrespect to GIMIMA but there is no relevence to HIS countdown.
He is an ex fly be ground / ops person who obviously followed his dreams like we all do and got a commercial pilots licence, after going through the normal waiting thing that pilots have to do to get a career start he got a job on the jet stream with Eastern. fantastic.
I have no problem with that, i do however wonder how a pilot from another airline would know more about a company than its own empoyees?
GIMIMA
Are you just getting a bit nervous of learning to park remote? or is something more bothering you?
And as for me knowing how the AOC is going, im a lowly dispatcher / customer services gal, I tend to leave that stuff to the big boys upstairs who know what they're doing. All I know is we have an A licence and our new a/c will all be here shortly.
Be patient guys, Rome wasnt built in a day and im sure neither was the origonal Manx Airline, but hey it will be excellent when we get there, and as a proud member of staff I can say its been alot of fun and hard work along the way.

The only way to stop all this implied criticism of Euromanx will be for the airline to become an airline, operating a standard fleet of aircraft and overall appearing to be an Isle of Man, or at least a UK, company. Euromanx has been built up as a glorified travel agency chartering aircraft to operate its routes. It is not an airline yet but has the basis to become one once the CAA approve its licence, it has lodged the necessary financial bonds, gets its crews on the payroll etc. It is to be assumed that the application for a Type A licence by Novacharm/Club 328's in December, still not approved as of the CAA's February 8th official publication, was to get an AOC for Euromanx but who knows?
Sure, the aircraft is in their colours but for as long as their services are being operated by a variety of airlines, credibility will be hard to come by or, at best, grudgingly given. Once they are up and running with their own fleet (or at least a fleet leased by Euromanx, the airline, rather than Euromanx, the travel agency), more people will believe.
Until then, the rumours and innuendo will keep us all tuned in. Even if it operates on an Austrian or Irish operators certificate, it will at least have grown up and demand credibility.

Not a chance emerald is pulling the plug on pax operations. Id imagine they have got their eyes on a/c to bring in at short notice to help the iom when the ever moaning euromanx eventually run out of tickets to sell for other airlines
Euromanx is a cowboy operation which is a shame for the IOM population! Ill give it to them for trying but they are doing everything wrong, a different leased a/c everyday, no respect to the airport, trying to bypass regulations, advertising falsley to the public - the list goes on!!. Feel sorry for the staff!!
