Is this MAN flight a scheduled service, or just a training flight. I ask because there is nothing on the MAN website about it arriving and nothing on the IOM website about it going.

Another interesting development. Club 328 ordered eight 328 jets last year - at the EBACE show I think!

It turns out that Avcraft Germany, the manufacturer of the 328 jet and ex- Fairchild Dornier facility, appointed an insolvency administrator on Friday as they have no more money to pay salaries let alone continue production of the aircraft.

This link shows what the US side of Avcraft has got on its plate. A house of cards IMO which has just lost a major piece of its structure !

The next few weeks will be intersting to say the least !!

There's an interesting thread going on elsewhere in this forum about SOU-VIE operations, perhaps the moderators could combine the two.
Done.

Don't think management changes are needed at 3W, they just need some experienced airline management putting in. Seamus and Brett have worked their socks off by all accounts. What they need now is strong support from someone who knows how to run a growing airline, they won't find that in Club328.

Management Changes

Hansol,

Your post seems a little contradictory. Are the existing managers doing a good job or not? If so then surely no change is necessary. I am not able to suggest either way.
I would however question anyones motive in throwing more & more money into an operation which continues in a series of expensive leases in from Denim, Atlantic, Flightline & Woodgate

Hansol - a less contentious post, I'm glad to see and you are both right and wrong. Where you are right is your observation that the 2 current 'senior' managers have worked incredibly hard but they are noses to the grindstone all the time and they do not appear to be able to sit back and take the broader view of how the operation on the Rock is or isn't shaping up. They do indeed need somebody put in place, with experience, to take the reins. Where you are wrong is your overlooking the fact that the man who is driving this setup from Club 328 has a great deal of airline experience - I think he has more than enough to worry about at present and needs to get someone into EMX PDQ.

Been trying to book Euromanx ex GWY to travel to Malaga and LCY. Not having much luck. They do not seem to know when bookings will be taken. Strange as first ops were supposed to be on 18 April. Cannot quite understand.

Flightline are presumed as the carrier ex GWY for Euromanx - using a DenimAIr AOC. Asked a friend working for Flightline who thinks that ops from Galway to Malaga are mad. It is 1400 Nautical Miles + 10 at least and off a 1350 metre runway with even marginal JBI weather - well how is it a reality?

Looked a little at the Flightline BAe146 ops graphs on their website. http://www.flightline.ltd.uk/images/8toffl_l.gif
It does not seem very encouraging. Can someone who actually knows the 146 tell me whether it is a spoof planning regular ops ex 1350M GWY runway to Malaga? This is full loads, full luggage etc...

Unhappy

I hear on the grapevine that the threatened Dornier 328 Jet, which was promised for the Southampton service, due to start on the 23rd March will be replaced by a turboprop, possibly a dornier 328 prop.

Can anyone in the know confirm or deny this ?

Question RJ's anytime soon?

Hi, I'm new to this PPRUNE malarky so be gentle. Are the RJ70's going to be arriving any time this year? As a previously satisfied euromanx customer I'm getting tired of the stick they're getting in the manx press but i'm starting to wonder whether people have a point. It seems every week we hear, the new a/c are going to be here soon or they'll be here next month and they never show. It seems not a week goes by that we're told that euromanx are going to do something new and great but then it fails to happen. I beleive the airport was originally told to expect the 1st RJ on the 15th of december but it's still not here. We were told to expect a jet a/c on the London City route but we got props for weeks. Now there's rumours abound that Euromanx are to start a service from Galway but speaking as a Isle of Man resident, I'd rather they sorted out their operations here b4 they start expanding further!

I understand Mr Seymour and family are now on the Island. Stand by for the big shake up ! The attitude of Manx workers might come as a bit of a suprise though, methinks he may have to import some of his own people to have a fighting chance.

Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking the Manx, but with no unemployment on the Island there is no need for anyone to take too much cr^p.

Pending results of meetings today Euromanx may be taking bookings for new services ex GWY from tomorrow. AOC and other regulatory issues may be resolved on certain aircraft assets. IRL Gov DOT will clear pending answers. Funding queries and third part complaints have been dismissed.

Just call it thebrotherLY love.
