Apparently, Fly Blu (or Fly Who now?) wanted someone to operate aircraft for them and KN (who's still the big boss behind globespan is he not?) was trying to set up a deal with Fly Blu, as they were then. I heard they were trying to set a deal to operate an A310 or A300 for Fly Blu under the Channel Express agreement as they already operate them. Apparently, it looks likely that someone else will definately be operating Fly Blu's aircraft. Anyone else heard this? Who is the mystery operator?

There is conflicting information on their website, take a look at this link:-
http://www.flyblu.com/page.php?pg=7
Then look at the recruitment bit wanting A310 pilots. Seems like the 767 idea is being scratched maybe?

JMC757,
My point was that one web site says one thing the other web site says another.
surely they should update both?
Airbus web site says the A310 will carry 220 pax for a maximum of 5,200 NM

Cannot see an easy ride for them if they try to go down the ATOL/Airline route as the CAA are trying to stop this prior to the introduction of EU legislation. They take the view that if you operate as an airline you need an AOC and the higher financial requirements that come with it. Therefore this operation is looking more like a full charter operation, with crew provided by the operator, cannot see FlyBlu being allowed to get involved if they only have an ATOL.
Possibly in a similar vein is the suspension of the Air Cordial AOC and the intention of Air Scandic to put their MD83 aircraft on a Cypriot AOC.
