Eagle European where are you?

A few years ago said operator ran a Bandit then a Jetscream on this route and very sucessfull it was too.

The slots were good allowing Exeter folk to connect to otbound transAtlantics and vice versa.

Got into trouble when they tried to extend route network to France and MME.

If they'd not and stuck to the niche I bet they would be running a 100 seater on the route by now.

Ah well

Didnt European Airways (HY) or someone fly NCL-MAN-EXT-SOU a few years back with J31s? Think they also flew NCL-SOU-Deauville/Le Havre and NCL-DUB

Gill Air flew MAN-NCL some years back and did reasonably well for a while due to some marketing arrangement with BA. I'm pretty sure it was Jersey European who flew a seperate MAN-BRS-EXT using a SH330/360. This only lasted a year or so. At that time (1980s /90s) such routes by third-level carriers using small turboprops rarely seemed to catch on. BY contrast, this year Air Southwest have done marvellously well on the MAN-BRS-PLH and seem certain to build on it.
