Air Wales
Sad to hear about Air Wales closing there Swansea routes but on the brighter side rumour has it that they will announce 3 new routes before the end of the summer season.

Swansea airport would never have picked up with just Air wales operating out of there. A lot of money needed to be spent there to attract other airlines. I have known Swansea to be closed on a number of occasions because their only fire engine had broked down, there was no ATC cover or the lighting system had failed. It would have been a nice start but it was never to be.

Suppose possibilities could include further flights for bmibaby? Maybe a twice daily CDG flight? Guernsey, Manchester, Shannon, Brussels, Nantes, Aberdeen, Leeds, Isle of Man, Belfast City?

Are you sure?
We'll wait to see how you can get the loads on an ATR!
This maybe an additional rotation using Air Wales but I doubt if it will replace a well used Baby route.

The CAA stats for CWL-CDG for the past three months show the following average loads (when the figures are broken down):
April - 111
May - 94
June - 104
As baby only operates one rotation per day to Paris, thus no opportunity of a day trip, I would have thought these figures are pretty good.
Two daily Air Wales ATR 42 rotations on behalf of baby would not be a susbstitute for a baby Boeing 737 so the destinations to be visited on the three new routes are intriguing.
Incidentally, Air Wales seems to have reduced its London City route from South Wales to Mondays and Fridays only, plus a Sunday evening service. Is this just for the school holiday period?
