BWIA to DUB

Just saw on bwees website that there are flights to DUB on offer.

Does this mean that there is no BFS flight ?

Does Bwee have to stop at SNN? If not, why not?

The current agreement is for flights operating to/from the USA and Canada must stopover at shannon, dont think it has anything to do with the Carribean states! Many moons ago I went to Barbados direct from Dublin on an EI 747, was a charter but I'm under the impression that the same rules apply!

from what I'm aware - all routes have to go via SNN (or 1 in 2 services) regardless of place - I don't think that this is built in to the USA/Canada bi-laterals, but is more an Irish thing to suport the SNN airport which would collapse without longhaul!

EI flight, as you mentioned, was a chartered one and ofetn charters have different rules.

Anyway - back to the thread, are BW doing or planning DUB then as they aren't selling it through the res systems or online - maybe it is just an add-on fare with bmi - I know they use their fares to sell Edinburgh, Glasgow et al via Heathrow/Manchester so maybe they do the same with the DUB route.....

and what happened about BFS/PIK - I too saw that they were planning on doing their MAN flights via BFS and PIK, but these also seemed to have gone off the radar!!!!

From what I can see they have this new A340 aircraft but actually only fly it twice per week.... can they cover the aircraft costs through this method?? surely not - when are they going to either fly the other days, or hand the aircraft back!!!!

Cool Wet least of the MD11

I saw the World MD11 Wednesday Morning at TTPP (Piarco International Airport, Trinidad) pretty old aircraft but it looks good.

Does anyone know when the Airbus 340 9Y-TJN will be returning from France?
