Qantas pulling out of France

With the Northern winter schedule starting October QF will discontinue flying to Paris, leaving London and Frankfurt as their only European destinations, however there are rumors of them returning to Rome and Athens in the future.

There's a quid pro quo - QF are going to put AF codes on a number of service to Australian stations. QF can also now offer a daily code to PAR, in contrast t being bilateral-restricted to 3x per week before (apparently). Interesting that QF has gone outside the alliance, but it sounds like it was a good deal on both sides.
