Royal Nepal Airlines allowed flights to Tibet
China has granted permission to RA to fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, are they the first foreign airline to fly this route? RA have also been given access to two more destinations in Tibet and five others in the rest of the country, besides Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong which they already have rights to and serve some of the three.
At present air China have a weekly 757-200 operation from Lhasa to Kathmandu, which they have gained from China Southwest Airlines being merged with them.
